RICHARD GRAY’S “SUMMER CODA” BEGINS PRODUCTION NEXT MONTH – ACQUIRED BY JUMP STREET/SHARMILL FILMS

Award-winning writer/director Richard Gray's debut feature film Summer Coda (formerly known as When She Gets There) will commence shooting on November 9.

Rachael Taylor (Bottle Shock, Transformers) and Alex Dimitriades (Head On, The Heartbreak Kid) head an all-star Australian cast including Susie Porter, Nathan Phillips, Angus Sampson, Josh Lawson, Cassandra Magrath and Jackie Weaver.

Summer Coda, runner-up in Movie Network’s Project Greenlight, is a romantic drama set amongst the stunning orange groves of Mildura, Australia, with an overseas shooting leg to include Reno, Nevada.

Jump Street Films and Sharmill Films will co-distribute in Australia in 2010.

“After five years of hard work we have the strongest cast and crew imaginable”, says Gray. “We're incredibly excited about moving into production in November – we have a beautiful story to tell.”

Producers are Richard Gray, Marc Goldenfein and John Finemore; associate producers are Jamie Bialkower and Anita Ziemer; executive producers are Bryce Menzies, Natalie Miller and James Hoppe. Richard Gray is a graduate of the Victorian College of the Arts School of Film and Television.
